This will assist to broaden the platform’s focus on live shopping and provide more chances for producers to sell within the app.

Instagram has released a new ‘Add Yours’ sticker for Stories that allows users to prompt people to contribute to their content in order to create more engaging Stories reply threads. The new sticker can be accessed from the camera screen within Instagram Stories. When someone taps on the sticker, they are taken to a search bar where they can search for another person’s account and add them as a ‘friend’ or send them a direct message.

The new ‘Add Yours’ sticker may be added to a user’s Stories frame, with an example using an ‘outfit of the day’ prompt, inviting followers to comment with their own #OOTD image.

When users react, they’re added to the profile bubble listing on the sticker, which, when pressed, allows users to scroll through all of the other thread responses, forming a response chain within Stories that can help drive additional participation. This new feature makes it easier for users to find friends on the app and connect with other users.

Over the last month, Instagram has been testing the ‘Add Yours’ sticker with a select group of users, but it is now available to all users worldwide on iOS and Android.

Snapchat, an app that lets users share moments with a combination of photos and videos, just inked a new deal with NBCUniversal in order to create a sound library.

NBCUniversal has given Snapchat access to its library of sounds for use in the app. The idea is to add sounds from shows like Saturday Night Live and The Voice to the app so that when users add video or photo messages they can add sound effects from those shows.

With a new collaboration with NBCUniversal, Snapchat will be able to provide more creative audio options within Snaps, allowing Snapchatters to insert audio excerpts from a variety of popular TV episodes and movies within their Snaps.
