Week 36 has ended and a lot of interesting things happened throughout this period. We’ve got some interesting news for you. Firstly, TikTok launches the ‘Promote’ feature. We also show you how PPC & Content Marketing can work together effectively and how to increase engagement rate on the LinkedIn platform. Google has an important Google announcement, now it’s an All-in-One App, as the Gmail App takes calls now, too. In the end, we share some digital marketing trends you need to adopt in 2022.

TIKTOK 'PROMOTE' TOOL - REACH MILLIONS OF ATTENTION

TikTok, one of the most popular social media apps in the world, has just launched a new Promote feature that will allow marketers to reach even more people. This is an excellent platform for reaching an audience that is actively looking for interesting videos. With this new Promote feature, brands can take advantage of the newest marketing tactic for reaching this audience.

 

As a result of TikTok’s popularity, brands and creators are looking for new ways to use the app to engage with new audiences. Promote is a tool that allows you to push your video out to more people on TikTok and get your content in front of more consumers. You can choose any TikTok video you’ve created as long as it’s an original, public video without copyright issues. When setting a Promote video campaign, you need to decide on a goal for your audience in order to gauge if the campaign was successful. The three goals are more views, more website visits, or more followers. If you have a specific goal in mind before creating a Promote video campaign, then success can be easier to measure.

 

When setting up your campaign on TikTok, choose More Views as your goal to get more viewers to watch your video. This will boost your potential for high engagement on the post and profile. If consumers enjoy what they see, they’ll be more likely to engage with additional posts, follow you, and maybe even check out your website for more information. Promote offers you the opportunity to guide your visitors straight to your website. If this is your goal, choose More Website Visits for your campaign. When setting up your ad, you’ll enter your website URL and select a call to action (CTA) button. CTA options include Shop Now, Learn More, Contact Us, and Sign Up, among others. If you’re looking to grow your TikTok following and community, try More Followers. This can help you reach other goals like boosting engagement and selling your products. Having a more significant following will also give you a larger community to market (and eventually sell) to.

PPC & CONTENT MARKETING - GET IMMEDIATE ROI

PPC and content marketing are powerful tools. You might wonder how PPC can be an immediate ROI, while content marketing takes time to gain momentum. But the answer is that the two can work together; PPC can act as a secret weapon for your content marketing, supercharging your content campaigns and giving you an edge over your competition. According to a recent study, brands that had a blog with many high-quality posts and social proof were more likely to generate conversions. Blogs also help build credibility and establish trust with potential customers by providing reassurance of legitimacy. High-quality content is the best way to build trust with potential customers. Having a blog that regularly gets updated and has lots of high-value content is one of the most important things you can do to demonstrate credibility and attract new interest. And, if your blog posts are regularly updated with high-value content, social proof will likely follow suit.

 

There are many takeaways from this strategy. The use of paid advertising can bring attention to your site, while the use of content marketing can be used to build trust once these new visitors have arrived. PPC campaigns are great for driving people quickly to your site as marketers are more focused on immediate results, but it can be expensive and ineffective if not managed correctly.

LinkedIn’s been steadily rising in popularity, and it’s worth considering for your brand. Here are a few ways you can use the app to connect with relevant audiences and fuel the professional community. LinkedIn has seen a steady rise in engagement over the past few years, as evidenced by parent company Microsoft’s quarterly results. That said, it’s worth considering how you can use LinkedIn to connect with relevant audiences and fuel the professional community. Social media is a powerful tool for building a sense of community, and LinkedIn saw an increase in public conversations with brands engaging in various ways, such as images and live streams in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year.  People are constantly looking for a platform to have meaningful conversations. With LinkedIn, you can have a conversation about anything from challenges to lessons learned and advice. With the recent ‘Great Reshuffle’, we’ve seen a lot of people discuss what it means for their work and how they approach their day-to-day routine.

 

Building a community within LinkedIn starts with three simple tips: consistency, add value and encourage conversation. One of the most tried and true strategies for building a community is to continue showing up in a way that’s predictable to your members and signals ongoing investment on the part of the organizer. You can do this by posting daily or weekly at the same time or date, and sharing across a broad range of topics. Also, sharing valuable content and fostering a strong community is the key to success for any brand. For every promotional post, share two engagement opportunities and three thought leadership posts. Lastly, when you create a dialogue with a member of your community, it is imperative that you continue the conversation to ensure that they feel engaged and connected. The worst thing you can do is to leave them hanging after they respond to your message.

THE GMAIL APP TAKES CALLS NOW, TOO, BECAUSE GOOGLE WANTS IT TO DO EVERYTHING

Google has announced another set of features for their office and communications software suite, including a major update to Workspace. This is a significant milestone in the company’s efforts. Gmail is getting a much-needed design overhaul, changing the way it interacts with other Google services. The idea is to make Gmail the central hub for all your communications, rather than just an email service.

 

In addition to being able to create group meetings with Google Meet, you will soon be able to call a Google user from the Gmail app. Google is adding the ability to “ring” another Google user with Google Meet. The feature will be available in the Gmail app, not in the Meet app. The standalone Meet app will get this feature when it turns on, not when it turns off.

 

Gmail was one of the first places Google thought to put its calling feature, which is a testament to how important it has become in regards to Google Workspace. Google has not been shy about leveraging Gmail’s popularity to drive the adoption of its other services.

 

Google Workspace has made some big improvements, especially in the realm of communication. For companies and consumers who use all of their many tools, this is great news. But not so great for those of us who just want Gmail to stay an email app.

DIGITAL MARKETING TRENDS 2022 - WHAT'S NEXT FOR BUSINESSES

Digital marketing is constantly changing and evolving, so it’s hard to keep up with it. But in this section, we’ve listed some digital marketing tools that will be the trendiest in 2022. These trends are influenced by the pandemic or greater exposure to help businesses and marketers focus their aim for optimal profits.

 

First of all, Augmented Reality, when used in conjunction with omnichannel marketing campaigns, can be used to achieve higher customer engagement. An example of augmented reality would be the Pokemon Go game. This game is only one touchpoint in an enormous range of content that includes a feature film, games, cartoon series, and merchandise. It is also possible to use augmented reality in conjunction with PWAs and digital content to heighten engagement.

 

With pre-covid, live events were an extremely profitable industry for marketers, until the pandemic struck. Now, out of necessity, virtual events have had to take the place of live events until the pandemic is over. Now it is likely that virtual events will continue well after the pandemic has ended.

 

Omnichannel marketing provides clarity of customer interactions across channels, without the loss of context. It assists with giving customers a strong sense of the brand identity across multiple digital channels, which promotes consistency and positive emotions in the business.

 

Omnichannel marketing means more than just customer service. It also incorporates making products, services, and marketing communications available in all channels. To really get on board with omnichannel marketing, you’ll need to use a CRM platform that will make it easy to jump across channels without losing consistency and context.
